About

Hi, I'm Rob Knight.

I founded net-results in 1997, as a small business by design, focusing on current and emerging Internet technologies.

I've worked in information technology for over 28 years and specialised in Internet technologies since 1992. Since then I've written and delivered Seminars and Courses about the Internet for local businesses, charities and interested independent users, as well as designing, developing and maintaining websites for clients.

Over the years, I've been involved in many Internet development user groups and have provided input for a number of specialist pilot projects. Notably the BBC’s Networking Club – a forerunner of the BBC website - and HSBC’s Internet Banking – the commercial offering available today. I am currently a focus group contributor to .net magazine and a Forum Moderator for Incomedia's WebSiteX5.

My son, Sammy, is responsible for our design and print services and he writes about his forte on our Design page.

As a company, net-results has collaborative partnerships with industry manufacturers, specialist providers and local businesses and provide a high standard of contact, support and continuing quality of service to clients.

We work with a diverse range of business sectors including, industry, commerce, tourism, finance and the arts.

Our service offerings include broadband connectivity, UK based email and web hosting, together with website design, development and management options.

Clients receive comprehensive support and if required we can provide on-site training and consultancy.

Today's Content Management Systems (CMS) especially Squarespace, enables us to provide a stable and robust platform for clients to maintain a dynamic web presence with relative ease. Likewise, a concise and well structured mobile website can be designed, built and managed to provide a complementary marketing and information medium using Squarespace or our goMobi offering.

All our developments are created and adhere to, standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) so as to ensure the long-term growth of the Web and to help to fulfill the W3C mission: to lead the Web to its full potential.
